A 30-year journalism veteran, Mr. Oh has held editorial positions on the international, science, industry, economic and social affairs desks at the Korea Broadcasting System (KBS), one of Korea¡¯s largest national TV networks. His time as a foreign correspondent in Paris and Western Europe further enhanced his understanding of the Korean media through the perspective of the foreign media. During his time in Europe he was also exposed to different ways of responding to similar business challenges and crises. As a respected community leader, he has participated in a number of government advisory committees, as well as serving as a senior advisor to several Korean associations, including the Korea Lawyers Association and the Korea Broadcast Reporters Club. Mr. Oh first joined Burson-Marsteller Korea back in 1999, leaving in 2002 to assume the position of Secretary General of the Korea Broadcasters Association. After his tenure, Mr. Oh returned to the company as a senior counselor in 2004. Mr. Oh holds a master¡¯s degree in mass communications from the Graduate School of DongKook University and a bachelor¡¯s in public administration from Yonsei University. |
